Radio Jockeying

COURSE PERIOD

ONE YEAR ( Mon-Sat from 10AM to 4PM )

The Radio Jockeying course at Mad Arts will involve learning how to host talk shows where the RJ selects the right type of music to gel with the current theme of the ongoing chat / conversation or interview. The curriculum has been designed keeping in mind the latest trends and techniques.

Mad Arts boasts of a correct mixture of modern equipment, latest techniques and on top of that the most experienced faculty. Mad Arts provides the students with the correct learning environment, which is a must if the students want to learn the basics and get a good start in the field. Students will always be encouraged to experiment. Student projects have been specifically designed keeping in mind the latest trends and requirements.

We shall also be covering confidence building techniques to churn out successful RJs who can host shows and interact with online / telephonic audiences.

OPTION 1

LEARNING PERIOD : 3 MONTHS, UP TO 8 HRS DAILY

• ORIENTATION

Learn the basics of the entertainment industry.

• SOUND FOR RADIO

Appreciation of timbre, pitch, loudness, and quality of sound and the brain’s perception of sound.

• SCRIPTING AND CONTENT PREPARATION

Scripting involves different types of radio scripts such as different links to thread a programme. It also includes preparing content for anchoring in different moods, interviews with people and celebrities, intricacies of comedy anchoring and understanding and formatting outdoor live broadcasting.

• SOUND EQUIPMENT

In this part of our program you will attain knowledge about the description and functions of various microphones, earphones, headphones, audio mixers and effective machine forms.

• SPEECH TRAINING

Under Speech Training the student gets to know about Development of flow, timber, tonal quality methods of pausing and punctuation.

• VOICE DICTION

Developing modulation and articulation techniques to become a professional voice.

• RADIO PRODUCTION

How to write, design, play and record with sound editing for different radio programmes.

• INTERNSHIP FROM A RADIO STATION

One month exclusive training with a top radio station. This will be the period for the student to put into practice what he/she has learnt. This professional training will help the student to understand the importance of corporate discipline, meeting deadlines and learning to work under set conditions. It could be the best opportunity for a student to display his potential and grab up placement from the radio station.

Only deserving students will be recommended.
